Course content
1. Material in the context of the work 3. Sculptural methods (transferring the work to the material, joining materials...) 4.-8. Traditional material and experiment (use of traditional material in a non-traditional way processing) 8-10 Composite materials and the use of synthetic materials to create sculpture 11. Metal casting and the use of alternative types of molds for experimental casting 12. Use of material in a multimedia context with the involvement of intangible components (light, sound...) 13. Presentation of the semester project and evaluation.

Students are supposed to have basic ability to express model´s plasticity.
Develop drawings and basic modelling sketches on a given topic. Based on the criteria, select the appropriate proposals. Realize the final work/works.

Knowledge
Graduates of the subject follow up on the preparation of the processing of various materials, which they will expand with more detailed experience in the field of specialized procedures. These procedures will serve for the practical use of acquired knowledge in the processing of materials in the art, industrial and heritage sectors.
Skills
Students will gain a general awareness and deepen their ability to realize their own project, learn traditional sculpting techniques such as working with stone and its imitation in combination with other materials, and learn about modern casting materials and their unconventional uses, including alternatives to commonly available synthetic materials.
