Course content
Varieties of psychological prose dated to the first half of the 20th century. Philosophical background and noetics in literary works by Karel Čapek (Továrna na absolutno and the noetic trilogy). Bezruč and his works from ideological and aesthetic points of view. Hypothesis concerning the authorship. Concepts of the genre of ballad and the analysis of its varieties from the period of the National Revivalism to the present. Poetism in poetry (V. Nezval, K. Biebl). Poetism in prose (V. Vančura). Nikola Šuhaj Loupežník (by Olbracht) - the analysis defining the boundaries between a fiction and non-fiction (or myth). Krysař (V. Dyk) - the analysis of his works from aesthetic and philosophical points of view. K. Toman and his literary development (decadence, symbolism, realism, sense and sensibility in poetry, patriotism, epigrams, temporariness and eternity). F. Hrubín - the analysis of his new aesthetic methods and techniques used in his early works. The course programme was specified according to students' interests and requirements.
