Course content
1. Concept of grammar, the rise of grammar and its development. 2. Types of grammar and their specific features; pedagogical (didactic) grammar. 3. Role of grammar in methodology of foreigner languages. 4. Presentation of Czech grammar in textbooks of Czech language for foreigners. 5. Lingual-didactic grammar rule. 6. Basic grammar, planning and organization of grammar content. 7. Lingual-didactic description of Czech grammar in the meaning of Czech as a language for foreigners - a selection of problems (I - verb; II - locative prepositions, III - temporal, , final and causal prepositions; IV - category of gender, number, case; V - adjectives and pronouns; VI - numerals). 8. Czech as a foreign language.

To pass the course ČCJ1 and be able to apply acquired knowledge and skills.
learning outcomes
Students are able to explain Czech grammar (its formal and functional aspects, its function and usage in Czech language) to non native speakers and create course and lesson plans for teaching Czech language for foreigners, prepare different types of exercises, use a communicative approach in teaching and analyze the reasons for most of the common mistakes.
