Course content
Seminars: The course will be focused mostly on the analysis of written texts, especially in the area of matter-of-fact styles. Basic mistakes will be analysed in particular language plans, especially in the stylistic, syntactic, morphological and lexical plans. The problems of Czech orthography will be reviewed (more difficult orthographical phenomena, e.g. punctuation, use of capital letters and changes in orthography codification after 1993). The participants will work with the completed texts and also remake and correct them or create their own texts. The students are supposed to be able to use appropriate language devices with respect to the communication situation and know their stylistic value.
