Course content
Lecture topics: Issues in the World Literature discipline. Basic literary trends in the development of literature from the beginnings to the present. Hypothetical beginnings of literary and artistic development. Ancient literature of Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, China. Medieval literature. Literature of the Renaissance and Reformation. Literature of the 17th and 18th centuries. Literature of the 19th century - romanticism, realism, artistic trends of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Literature of the 20th century - interwar literature, literature for 1945.

  • Contact hours - 80 hours per semester
