Lectures: 1. Introduction to the contents of the subject, recommended literature, syntax as the science about textual units. 2. Sentence - clause, these concepts in modern syntax - the types of sentences according to the attitude of speakers. 3. Syntactic relations, the ways and means of their expression (predication, determination, co-ordination, apposition). 4. Irregularities of sentence structures. 5. Basic sentence elements and their expression. 6. Attribute, verbal attribute. 7. Classification of sentence patterns. 8. Sentence pattern with respect to the criteria of valence syntax. 9. Sentence pattern with respect to the criteria of valence syntax. 10. Understandable characteristics of the most important functional styles (scientific, administrative, journalistic, literary, and the style of everyday speech) 11. Objective and subjective stylistics factors. Spheres of style and stylistic levels. 12. Stylistics and textual syntax. composition of the text, stylistic procedures and forms. 13.
