Course content
Introduction to the course; Discuss speaking experience and ideas of good conversation; Speaking about weather and seasons; describing nature. Agreeing and disagreeing; Island survival activity. Discussion on controversial issue: Gay marriage and parenting. Great Czechs; Politeness and rudeness. Discussion on controversial issue; Family tree (relatives). Relationships and marriage: roles and expectations. Driving; Using a map; Describing locations in the country. Describing houses and flats; Czech education system; University departments. Discussion on controversial issue. Czech system of government; Discussing books and films. The lessons may include various other speaking activities; for example discussions about current events.
