Students can list health-care disciplines, professionals and hospital departments.
Students can describe parts of the human body, its internal organs and functions.
Students form questions using all types of verbs.
Students correctly use prepositions when describing places and procedures.
Students can express future using "will", "going to" and the present continuous tense.
Students can use zero and first conditionals correctly.
Students correctly use present and past continuous tenses.
Skills
Students can simply describe their future working environment: a hospital or any other type of a health care facility.
Students are able to work with patients´ medical records and fill in their cards.
Students are able to describe the human body and its parts, most common illnesses, various examination methods and life-threatening conditions.
They can apply and explain the principles of first aid.
They can describe individual hospital wards and can provide patients with correct information; navigate throughout the hospital.
Students are able to obtain patients´ personal details and their present and former symptoms; provide important information and make appointments over the phone.
Students can list and characterize common symptoms and types of pain.
Students are able to select appropriate grammar means according to the communicative situation.
Students chan specify pre and post operative care, the operating theatre.
Students are able to write and read elementary texts dealing with health care issues; are able to use the data available from the patient history card in English.
