Course content

The course is designed for 1st year FST students in the new SP EI The student is led to self-knowledge of his/her physical disposition, perception of his/her own body and its common devastation due to bad habits. They are able to identify their physical deficiencies and, thanks to appropriately chosen physical activities, prevent the deterioration of their own musculoskeletal health. Sedentary work, lack of exercise, overloading of muscle groups and the entire musculoskeletal system, insufficient breathing, etc. - these are common health problems of the majority of the Czech population. 1. Prevention of health ideas / proclamations vs reality - initial musculoskeletal testing 2. Techniques of correct breathing 3. Correct posture - kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis 4. Prevention of cervical spine pain / compensation 5. Prevention of pain in the lumbar spine / compensation 6. Risks of a sedentary lifestyle - compensation - PC work - eye care 7. Core - strengthening the middle of the body 8. Upper extremity care 9. Lower limb care - preventing overuse injuries 10. Activation of the plantar foot 11. Relaxation and rehabilitation effects of walking - dynamic walking, Nordic walking 12. Healthy lifestyle 13. Exit testing of the musculoskeletal system Basic study supports are e - learning course in system Moodle and basic literature on the subject.
