Course content

Volleyball is intended for students of all faculties and years of studies, for beginners as well as for advanced players, who want to acquire basic playing activities of individuals, game systems and volleyball rules, or want to develop their acquired skills. Classes are always held with a view to the level of performance of the group and the individuals. Beginners - classes are orientated on basic playing activities of individuals, e.g. striking off the ball with two hands from above and from the bottom, low service, practising single block, smashing the ball from zones IV and II and high and semi-high passing the ball, passing the ball in front of and behind the player, passing the ball with two hands from the bottom. Practice game, basic game system, explanation of rules and basic tactics. Constitutional volleyball players ? classes are orientated on the practice and improvement of playing activities, e.g. passing the ball after motion, passing the ball by striking off the ball with two hands after motion, high service, taking the ball in the field, practising groups in double block, smashing the ball against single and double block from zones IV and II, smashing after rapid passing of the ball, basic combinations, practice game and rules. Efficiency volleyball players? this group is intended for students who have already acquired some of the volleyball skills. Classes have the character of sports training and are orientated on the participation of players in competetions of the University of West Bohemia ? ZČU, SPVŠ and AM. Further development of the playing activities of individuals is the main objective of the specialized preparation, e.g. passing the ball after motion, ?jumping? service, practising groups in double and triple blocks, smashing the ball after rapid passing of the ball in all zones, covering and taking the ball in the field, changing places during defence in the field and the net, playing combinations, grounding game, explanation of rules, preparatory championships, working as referees (competitions of ZČU, SPVŠ and AM).

The student is able to choose an adequate acquired motor skill depending on the development of the game and the changing conditions. The student adapts his movement and involvement in the game with respect to the other participants, to himself, and to the spatial conditions. The student solves the game situation with movement skills, which he manages to perform in a sufficient range and quality. The student is able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the game as a player and referee. |

The student is able to independently identify and recognize the level of acquired movement skills. The student is able to analyze the level of his physical expression in relation to the time axis of the training, as well as to other players. The student follows the rules of FAIR PLAY in relation to the rules of the game. |
