Key learning outcomes Graduate in the field of Medical Laboratory Technician identifies samples of biological material, evaluates the quality of samples required for laboratory examinations, guarantees processing, storage and subsequent disposal. Graduate operates with a laboratory equipment and ensures its routine maintenance. In connection with the protection of public health carries out sampling. Medical Laboratory Technician without supervision performs the non-invasive sampling of biological material,and a venous and capillary blood based on a medical indication. Graduate under the supervision of health personnel with specialized qualifications performs specialized laboratory examinations including the use of radioimunoanalytic methods in compliance with the principles of radiation protection at work. In the scope of its competence evaluates new diagnostic procedures and their validation. Graduate has the knowledge necessary to a research work and is able in their field to communicate in a foreign language at level B1. Graduate gains a competency to pursue the profession of Medical Laboratory Technician. By completing of the accredited medical bachelor's degree in the field of Medical Laboratory Technician graduate performs activities in accordance with decree No. 424/2004 Coll., that the activities of health workers and the other professionals.

Profile of the programme This study programme is designed as an occupational one. In addition to theoretical background (blocks of theoretical courses), it mainly provides skill-related courses/blocks of skill-related courses preparing the future graduate for employment in various areas/fields, such as Medical laboratory technicial.
