Key learning outcomes
|
Graduates demonstrate a broad and deep knowledge about the position of art and artistic activities in human/society life and in general education, demonstrate insightful guidance in discipline competences, in discussion they aply professional and convincing arguments about importance of art and artistic activities in general education. On the basis of professional self-reflection they identify situations which required the involvement of other professional and they demonstrate a considerable degree of comprehension and understanding in situations that require to take cultural or professional different viewpoint/opinion. They demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the assessment criteria of aesthetic qualities of art, modern didactic methods and criteria for didactic evaluation of teaching aids and textbooks for secondary and primary art schools. Graduates find and identify the basic structural elements of unit (topic, art technique, art problem, etc.) and important contents through the study of texts depicting preliminary model of unit or real process of classwork in the field of visual culture art education; they state the sense and aim of model learning situation and consider its possible impact on the secondary and primary art school students, they thing over the topic of lessson in relation to relevant cross-curricular topics, with the support of meaning end curricular conception they design preliminary model of teaching unit; they design particular steps of teacher's work and they aply their ability to design expected outputs of sub-task as detectable and controlable results of student's activity; they understand the concept "expected output" and its construction method. They make sense of professional terminology and logically explain the content of concepts in the epistemological discipline field context and in required wider interdisciplinary or philosophical context; they use professional terms or criteria in process of analyzis, interpretation, explanation, reasoning and evaluation the model or the real educational situation; they recall the required facts about historical development of visual culture art education and related fields and they can explain that in the light of current state and development perspectives of discipline. Based on their art production they analyse suitable topics for specific technological process, including intermedia, and prove that use in teaching practice. Graduates analyze and critically examine the specific expressive possibilities of new media and compare it with traditional making technologies of art work in connection with activities in visual culture art education; they make sense of specifics of communication and learning through digital technology; on the basis of complete didactic analysis of topic, technique and learning proces they can design a model of teaching unit using digital technology as a tool for making; they formulate methodology and aims of education; they prove compose designed models of teaching units into meaningful complex, so that suports development of student's specific competences; they critically examine contemporary art and select the topics for creation in visual art education and modify selected contents for learning in visual culture art education supported by multimedia; they complete their own teaching approach, also by using the multimedia and explain it in the context of contemporary discourse over this issue (they comprehend philosophical, sociological, educational and other contexts relating to the teaching of visual culture art education).

Profile of the programme
|
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of block of theoretical courses dealing with the field of interpretation and analysis of picture, and work with artistic artefact as a means of influence, cognition and self cognition, field history, field didactic and theory, and of block courses dealing with art creation in discipline elected by student, drawing, painting, graphics, multimedia and three-dimensional production. At the same time, it comprises a block of courses focusing on exploiting theoretical background in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in position of teacher of Art Education in secondary schools and in basic art schools. The programme also includes practical training. After successfully completing this study programme, the graduate can apply position of teacher of Art Education in secondary schools and in basic art schools.
