Key learning outcomes The bachelor study program graduate is a competent university-educated expert in the field of orthotics - prosthetics, which is both theoretical and practical aspects ready to be an equal part of a multidisciplinary team of specialists in the care of the client. Leading a team of experts of the same discipline and demonstration of combined and coordinated knowledge are skil which can used in medical, social, educational, professional and technical resources suitable for the recovery of the highest possible degree of functional ability, independence and active life of the client. Graduate will gain knowledge in fields that form the foundation required for providing orthotic and prosthetic care in the social sciences and organizational, their knowledge of a foreign language is deeper at the professional level, is familiar with the various types of disability and in various types of equipment. The graduate is skilled in the field of orthotics and prosthetics. Can use diagnostic methods and testing procedures, physical measurements and determine the type of items. Handles technical documentation independently, is oriented in the technical information and prosthetic manuals. Can design, applies, manufactures and modifies aids. Is dkilled in education of clients and other persons which are authorized by him and caregivers to actively use aids. Furthermore is in continual process of self-education, uses this knowledge to the development and improvement of aids according to the lastest findings. During the study, the student prepared in all directions for occupation orthotics-prosthetics in order to be handle in all the activities of a healthcare professional with competence described by Decree no. 55/2011, as amended.

Profile of the programme This study programme is designed as an occupational one. In addition to theoretical background (blocks of theoretical courses), it mainly provides skill-related courses/blocks of skill-related courses preparing the future graduate for employment in various areas/fields, such as Orthotics-Prosthetics.
