Key learning outcomes The programme is a continuation of a Bachelor programme. It runs for a standard length of 2 years. To meet the programme requirements a student is expected: to obtain at least 120 credits (corresponding to 120 credits in ECTS), to write and defend their Master thesis and to pass the final state examination.
Specific admission requirements Previous completion of technical-oriented Bachelor studies
Specific provisions for recognition of prior learning General Rules for the Recognition of Previous Studies
Qualification requirements and regulations 120 ECTS credits, Diploma Thesis, Final State Examination
Profile of the programme The graduate will have learned the latest calculations and design methods using computer technology in the fields of industrial power engineering, heat power plants, including alternative energy sources. He/she will know the basics of designing and operating nuclear power plants. The graduate will know how to carry out analysis and solution of particular problems in the design and operation of heat and flow plants, create variants and optimize solutions in terms of effective possibilities for using energy sources in a particular area. Through the stated design and development activities the student will gain knowledge of mathematics, physics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, structure of materials, technology, etc.
Persistence requirements unspecified
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate will find employment in planning, design, calculation, technology, production, operation and maintenance activities in research institutes, engineering companies, traditional and nuclear power plants, etc.
