Key learning outcomes The graduate will display knowledge necessary for working with the most modern and most effective methods for manufacturing and treatment of materials using casting, forming, thermo-mechanical treatments, welding, etc. The graduate will have sufficient knowledge necessary for continued study in this area at master's level.
Specific admission requirements Grade average at secondary school with special regard to Maths; specialized activities at secondary school and successful completion of the National Comparative Exams (NSZ) will be taken into consideration
Specific provisions for recognition of prior learning General Rules for the Recognition of Previous Studies
Qualification requirements and regulations 180 ECTS credits, Bachelor Thesis, Final State Examination
Profile of the programme The program is conceived as an academic, is made up of blocks of theoretical subjects of mathematics, physics and mechanics. At the same time, it comprises of block/blocks of courses focused on theoretical background usage in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in various professions, for example, Materials Engineering and Engineering Metallurgy The graduate is especially prepared for study in a follow-up Master's study program in a related field of study Materials Engineering and Engineering Metallurgy. In addition, after successful completion of this study program, the graduate can apply for positions in various fields, such as materials engineering and engineering metallurgy.
Persistence requirements Absolvent může po ukončení studia bez problému studovat v navazujícím magisterském studijním programu na FST ZČU v Plzni a jiných VŠ technického zaměření.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The university trained graduate is able to make expert decisions about the usage of appropriate construction materials. They will find employment in engineering and metallurgy companies, materials testing centres, etc.
